"This wasn't my idea"

Have you ever found yourself in the middle of a mandate from heaven that you didn't sign up for?

In Amos Ch 7 we see a prophet of God going to deliver a message to the people. The message was harsh to natural ears but by the Spirit we can hear that God was calling the hearts of His people back to Him. And he was using Amos as His mouthpiece.

In verse 14 we can see that Amos was a shepherd caring for fig trees and the Lord came to Him telling him to go and prophesy.

Amos is proof that God can use whoever He wants to be His mouthpiece.

One day you can be tending to your job, and the next day you are on a mission from Heaven.

If you find yourself today carrying a mission, a mandate and a call that you didn't ask for - you are in good company,

Whenever I find myself in the middle of questions from the enemy, or even from other people (who feel like they are doing their best to supply me with logic..) I have to remind myself "This wasn't my idea"

Remembering that I am a vessel of the Lord (and not in my own doing) brings comfort that's indescribable.

Just like Amos, just like Moses, and just like Abraham ... we are in good company when we find ourself getting a commission from heaven.

But what we do next is crucial.

Obey in Faith.

Put movement behind your belief and carry out the commission of heaven.

You are in good company.
