Check your Camp

What have you allowed in your camp?

Look at your life has anything changed ?? 

I want you to think back to when you first asked God into your life . Now are you closer to God or have you grown farther away from God?

If your answer is farther away ? What caused that …..

Have you allowed everyday life take you away from spending time with him ?

Have you allowed other people and what they say or think about you get you side tracked?

Have you just grown lazy … because life is good and you aren’t facing anything bad?

Let stop and think would you be okay if people treated you and your relationship the same way as you treat your relationship with God?

Luke 10:38-42

Now as they went on their way, Jesus entered a village. And a woman named Martha welcomed him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet and listened to his teaching. But Martha was distracted with much serving. And she went up to him and said, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her then to help me.” But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.”

If you stop and read this passage you see God is telling Martha that if she would just stop and talk to God things in her life would fall into place and she wouldn’t have to worry. 

I know there are times in everyone of our lives we stumble and fall. Allow life to just make us get our minds off what we need to be doing with God and think of other things that need to get done. But if we would just stop and make time that is just God and us . He will help us get what needs to be done and supply all of our needs . 

I know when I stop and just talk to God about what is going on in my life and allow him to direct me on how to take care of whatever it is . It is not as Big or bad as I thought.

Just like when I was younger and I would run and sit In my daddy’s lap and talk to him and allow him to lead me and love on me. Things seemed to go smoother and life was better. 

How much more does our Heavenly Father want us to come to him and allow him to do the same thing?

James 1:5 

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.

I am not saying I do this perfectly every day . Yes I mess up and go days at times when I don’t read or pray but I pick myself up and Go to God and ask for forgiveness . Just like my earthly father would he Hugs and loves you . Then I sat down and spend that much need time talking to him and letting him change me into what he needs me to be . 

Philippians 1:6 

And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
