Pharisee
This topic is a big one for me, and truly could become a book or at the very least a blog post. But today, let's just stick to a {carb boost}. While we look at the events leading up to Easter, and truly as we even watch the Chosen Series play out on the screens of our TV's we can see one thing remain constant, the Pharisee's.
And while we can read through the Gospels and see their clear wrongdoing I dare say we become these dreaded people the moment we decide who CAN and who CANNOT be used of God. Whenever we try to silence a move, snuff out a revival fire, or throw stones when God is trying to clean house.
The Pharisee's were so stuck in religion, tradition and the ways of man that they COMPLETELY missed the move of God.
Where was the sensitivity to God?
Where was the mere compassion?
Who died and made them the ultimate judge?
The last I checked, God is still on the throne and he hasn't changed, and he definitely never decides to use who we think he should, move in the time we think he should - or run anything by us for approval.
So, in light of this Holy week, let's keep our nose in the Bible and our hands lifted to heaven, and Let's leave it to The Lord to decide who, what, when, where and how.
This world is not our home saints, we are just here recruiting.
Lord Jesus,
Humble us. Help us to see with your eyes, to embrace the hurting, to lift up the struggling, to reach out to the lost and to open doors for those God is advancing. Use us to be our body, not to harm your body.
Thank you for your sacrifice that washes me clean, help me to strive towards holiness.
In your name - Amen
